NAV NOTICE SWL 13-17 MKARNS - NOTICE OF SAFETY ZONE - RIVERFEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY

To ensure the safety of life and property on the navigable waters during the Riverfest fireworks display, a safety zone will be established by the Coast Guard for the Arkansas River from mile marker 118.8 to mile marker 119.5.  The safety zone will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on May 26, 2013.  No vessels may enter or remain within this safety zone unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Lower Mississippi River.  Vessels may contact the Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River on VHF-FM Channel 16 for further information.
