CORPS TO REOPEN SPILLWAY GATES AT NORFORK DAM

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Little Rock District of the Army Corps of Engineers will reopen the spillway gates at Norfork Dam at 10 a.m. today because of 1.8 inches of rain that fell last night in the drainage basin. The lake had room to store one-half inch of runoff.

CORPS CLOSES SPILLWAY GATES AT NORFORK DAM, CONTINUES RELEASES THROUGH TURBINES

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers closed the spillway gates at Norfork Dam at 8 a.m. today but continues to release 6,000 cubic feet per second through the two turbine units.

HIGH LAKE LEVEL RESULTS IN SMALL SPILLWAY DISCHARGE AT CLEARWATER DAM

PIEDMONT, Mo. – Heavy rains have filled Clearwater Lake and have resulted in a small discharge over the spillway. There is no net change in the total amount of water moving downstream from the dam.

CORPS WARNS PUBLIC OF INCREASED RELEASES FROM CLEARWATER DAM

PIEDMONT, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District warns people living below Clearwater Lake that the lake level will continue to rise to an elevation which will exceed the top of the overflow spillway and will result in larger releases from the lake.
