ROGERS, Ark. – The Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers decreased releases from Beaver Dam to 7,200 cubic feet per second at 8 a.m. today.

The release is a combination of the seven spillway gates opened to one-half foot in addition to 3,400 c.f.s. being released through one turbine generator. Once inflows fall low enough, the spillway gates will be closed and water will be passed through the turbine generator.  The lake is currently at elevation 1,129.5, and passing inflow.

Rainfall is forecasted for the White River drainage basin this week and the Corps is monitoring the situation.

If you have questions, call the Beaver Project Office at 479-636-1210.  Daily lake information can be obtained at www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil or the Corps’ mobile App which can be found in mobile App stores by searching for USACE Little Rock.
