USACE to host public meeting for proposed drawdown at Blue Mountain Lake

- The U.S Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a public meeting to discuss a proposed drawdown at Blue Mountain Lake beginning this fall. The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 28, 2025, at the Booneville Community Building, located at 426 North Holden, Booneville, Arkansas.

USACE closes swim beach at Waveland Park until further notice

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office is closing the swim beach at Waveland Park on Blue Mountain Lake until further notice because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing.

USACE announces recreation fee increase at Nimrod and Blue Mountain Lakes

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office is raising recreation fees at facilities on both lakes starting Jan. 1, 2025. The nightly rate for standard 30-amp electric campsites will increase to $22, the nightly rate for standard 50-amp electric campsites will increase to $24 and the fee for group shelters will increase to $60 per day.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released the final revision of the Nimrod Lake and Blue Mountain Lake Master Plans, along with the related environmental assessments and finding of no significant impact documents. Corps to Asphalt the Road and Boat Launching Ramp at Norfork Lake’s Udall Park

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office is advising the public that road crews will be laying new asphalt in Udall Park Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 16. While work is underway roads and the boat launching ramp, access will be periodically interrupted.

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers' Little Rock District is seeking public comments through June 2 on a proposal to rehabilitate existing structures and construct a multi-lane high water boat launch ramp and modern fishing tournament weigh-in facility and other associated recreational improvements at Panther Bay Park on Norfork Lake near Mountain Home, Arkansas.
