USACE closes Waveland Park swim beaches until further notice

WAVELAND, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Blue Mountain Lake Field Office is closing the swim beach at Waveland Park until further notice.

The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by project office personnel. 

USACE has posted signs indicating high bacteria levels at the swim beach. Park rangers will reopen the beaches when test results indicate bacteria levels are within an acceptable range.
