USACE Little Rock announces phased reopening of campgrounds

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is planning a phased re-opening of campsites and recreation areas beginning May 20 for sites closed because of COVID-19.

CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

Corps defers shoreline activity requests

Mountain Home, Ark. -- As a result of budget constraints the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office will defer all new requests for shoreline use from May 1, until Oct. 1. Written requests or applications will not be accepted during the deferral period.
