ARKANSAS GOVERNOR PROCLAIMS SAFE BOATING WEEK

At a proclamation ceremony today Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe declared May 18 through 24 as Safe Boating Week in Arkansas.  The proclamation states that it is essential for boating enthusiast to recognize the importance of taking certain safety precautions, including always wearing life jackets and never operating a boat under the influence of alcohol. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – At a proclamation ceremony today Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe declared May 18 through 24 as Safe Boating Week in Arkansas.

The proclamation coincides with the National Safe Boating Week Campaign and is supported by the Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock and Vicksburg districts, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 15-08.

The proclamation states that it is essential for boating enthusiast to recognize the importance of taking certain safety precautions, including always wearing life jackets and never operating a boat under the influence of alcohol.
