    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will begin a spillway release from Greers Ferry Dam Wednesday.

    CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    CORPS SEEKS BIDS FOR FARMING LEASE AT LOCK & DAM FIVE ALONG ARKANSAS RIVER IN JEFFERSON COUNTY

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids for a farming lease on one plot of public land around Lock and Dam 5 for agriculture, and grazing. The plot is 57 acres. The lease is for a minimum of five years.

    CORPS SEEKS BIDS FOR FARMING LEASES AT LAKE NIMROD

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids for farming leases on four plots of public land around Lake Nimrod for hay production. The plots range in size from 59 acres to 247 acres and total more than 534 acres. The leases are for a minimum of five years and could be extended for another five year lease.

    The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids for farming leases on six plots of public land around Blue Mountain Lake for hay production. The plots range in size from 32 acres to 83.4 acres and totals more than 325 acres. The leases are for a minimum of five years and could be extended for another five year lease.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers is reminding Arkansas River users that the small craft advisory issued last month remains in effect. The advisory was issued following heavy rains, and subsequent rains have caused flows to remain above safe levels for small craft.
