    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Visitors to Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes are reminded that many Corps recreation areas and access points are impacted because of recent heavy rains and rising lake levels.
  • HIGHWAY 165 BRIDGE ACROSS TABLE ROCK DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    BRANSON, Mo. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 165 across Table Rock Dam from 8 p.m. March 7 until 6 a.m. March 8 to install equipment needed to refurbish the dam’s head gates.
  • Corps issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains in Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.
  • HIGHWAY 32 ACROSS MILLWOOD DAM TO CLOSE FEBRUARY 17 FOR INSPECTION

    ASHDOWN, Ark. – Highway 32 across Millwood Lake will close at 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 while the sluice gate conduits at the base of the spillway are inspected. During the inspection, a crane and other heavy equipment will block the bridge across the spillway.
  • CORPS OFFERS FREE FIREWOOD PERMITS

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office will be issuing free firewood permits, for personal use, beginning Feb. 11 for about 80 acres on Bull Shoals Lake. Permits are valid through March 31.
  • CORPS SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP TO PROTECT ARTIFACTS AT BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. – Cultural resources are physical remains of our shared past. These artifacts include Native American arrowheads and pottery, buildings and remains of structures, rock art, ceramics, glassware, and any other objects made and used by people. The Army Corps of Engineers is reminding everyone it is against the law to remove artifacts from public lands at Beaver Lake.
  • CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
