  • USACE cancels temporary full road closure of Highway 177 across Norfork Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is canceling the full road closure for Highway 177 across Norfork Dam that was previously scheduled for Oct. 7 and 8. New dates have not been selected at this time.
  • Temporary full road closure of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam to deploy and remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam’s sluice gates.
  • Bull Shoals Master Plan revision is underway

    The Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District continues to seek public input through Sept. 30 about the Bull Shoals Lake Master Plan revision. Comments can be submitted via email, fax or regular mail. Mailed comments must be post marked no later than Sept. 30. All public comments will be included in the master plan scoping report.
  • CORPS TO HOST WORKSHOPS FOR BULL SHOALS MASTER PLAN REVISIONS

    The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Bull Shoals Lake Master Plan scoping workshops Aug. 22-27 to share information about the revision process and to collect public comments concerning potential development and land use management around the lake. Anyone interested in the future development of Bull Shoals Lake is invited to drop in anytime during the workshops.
  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 177 ACROSS NORFORK DAM TO TEMPORILY CLOSE FOR DAM MAINTENANCE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Lake will be closed at 6:30 a.m. each Monday and remain closed until 6 p.m. each Thursday except federal holidays beginning Monday, June 24 for about 180 days to conduct maintenance on the dam’s tainter gates. Both lanes will be open Friday thru Sunday.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office personnel will begin using pyrotechnics next week to disperse hundreds of vultures that continue to damage Bull Shoals Dam and powerhouse.

    Mountain Home, Ark. -- As a result of budget constraints the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office will defer all new requests for shoreline use from May 1, until Oct. 1. Written requests or applications will not be accepted during the deferral period.
