    Expiration date: 11/30/2020

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Mr. Brian Day, Little Rock Port Authority, 10600 Industrial Harbor Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with construction of a laydown yard, to include the fill of approximately 7.70 acres of wetland. The proposed project is located in section 20, T. 1 N., R. 11 W., Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The project purpose is to have a large flat and open space to store the port’s equipment and materials, and provide a storage area which other businesses at the Little Rock Port could utilize.

  • SWL 2019-00289

    Expiration date: 11/27/2020

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Mr. Matthew Mendenhall, Departee Creek Watershed Improvement District, 801 Fairway Circle, Springdale, Arkansas 72764, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with construction of a dam. The dam will be approximately 1,800 linear feet wide by 50 linear feet tall. The proposed project is located in Departee Creek, in the NE 1/4 of section 15, T. 11 N, R. 5 W, Huff, Independence County, Arkansas. The project purpose is to provide flood control benefits along with improved wildlife, fisheries, waterfowl and recreation benefits onsite and downstream.

  • 2020 NWP Reissuance (MO)

    Expiration date: 11/16/2020

    On September 15, 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers published in the Federal Register its proposal to reissue the 52 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and issue five new NWPs. NWPs are general permits issued on a nationwide basis to streamline the authorization of activities that result in no more than minimal individual and cumulative adverse environmental effects. Many of the proposed NWPs require notification to the District Engineer before commencing those activities to ensure that the activities authorized by those NWPs cause no more than minimal individual and cumulative adverse environmental effects.

  • SWL 2020-00137 (GP-45)

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, HAS ISSUED GP-45, authorizing the discharge of dredged or fill material, in the State of Missouri, associated with activities designed to improve water quality, improve fish and wildlife habitat, maintain recreational value, and extend the lifespan of man-made lakes and ponds. This permit authorizes the removal and discharge of lakebed/pond sediment in conjunction with mechanical dredging, hydraulic dredging (including return water from such activities) and excavation activities.
