Hunting is permitted on project lands around Clearwater Lake. A proper license must be obtained from the Missouri Department of Conservation. Game species found in the area include deer, quail, squirrels, rabbit, turkey, and doves. Many people travel to this area every year to hunt the ample supply of deer in the area. Clearwater participates in a yearly mobility impaired deer hunt as well as a wounded warrior deer hunt on project lands. A reminder, hunting is not permitted within recreation areas, please refer to the Clearwater Lake Map for authorized hunting areas.
