About the PL 84-99 Program

The Rehabilitation and Inspection Program (PL 84-99) provides technical and financial assistance to non-Federal sponsors of flood control works in the event of damage caused by flood waters. Active participation in this program makes levee systems eligible for rehabilitation assistance following flood events.

* Inactive in PL 84-99 Program: This levee system is inactive in the PL 84-99 Program, making it ineligible for Rehabilitation Assistance at this time. To reactivate, the levee sponsor must meet all program requirements and complete necessary inspections and documentation.

** USACE Operated and Maintained Levees: These levees are operated and maintained directly by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. They do not fall under the PL 84-99 Program for rehabilitation assistance. These levees will be repaired utilizing USACE Operations & Maintenance funding as part of the federal flood risk management system.
