    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that David Hopkins, City of Little Rock Public Works Department, 701 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72201, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with filling 680 linear feet of an unlined channel section of an unnamed tributary of Rock Creek, locally referenced as Briarwood Ditch. The proposed project is located in an unnamed tributary of Rock Creek, in the NE 1/4 of section 1, T. 1 N., R. 13 W., Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The project involves an upstream extension of the existing concrete-lined channel in Briarwood Ditch from the existing concrete channel on Sun Valley Rd. The unlined portion of the channel will be extended 680 linear feet with reinforced rectangular concrete channel within the existing alignment.

    Pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Clay McGeorge, Donna Fill, Incorporated, P.O. Box 9054, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72119, has requested renewal of an existing sand and gravel dredging permit. The operation is located on the Arkansas River, between Navigation Miles 129.4 and 135.8, in Pulaski and Faulkner Counties, Arkansas. The lower limit of the project is approximately 2.8 miles upstream of the Interstate 430 Bridge.

  • NAVIGABLE WATERS PROTECTION RULE - DEFINITION OF WOTUS

    On April 21, 2020, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of the Army’s Navigable Waters Protection Rule: Definition of “Waters of the United States” was published in the Federal Register. This final rule establishes the scope of federal regulatory authority under the Clean Water Act.
