    Mariners are advised that the partial lock closure at Dardanelle Lock (No. 10) NM 205.5 has been extended through October 24th, 2025.

    Update to navigation notice SWL 25-68. Mariners are advised that the partial lock closure at James W. Trimble Lock (No. 13) NM 292.8 has been extended through October 25th, 2025.

  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-69 Caution Advisory MPLD DS Approach

    Mariners are advised that significant shoaling has occurred in the downstream approach at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5). Crews are onsite performing dredging and clamming operations, and the contract dredge is scheduled to arrive next week. A subsequent navigation notice will be issued once the shoaling has been cleared.

  • MKARNS Nav Notice 25-68 UPDATE: SCHEDULED LOCK 13 CLOSURE NOTICE

    Mariners are advised that the partial lock closure at James W. Trimble Lock (No. 13) NM 292.8 has been extended through October 18th, 2025. During this time, the Lock will be closed daily (Monday thru Saturday) between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The lock will be opened to traffic each night between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and all day on Sundays, however a 70-ft width restriction will be in place.

  • USACE waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of National Public Lands Day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is waiving day use fees Sept. 27, 2025, at recreation areas in observance of National Public Lands Day.

  • USACE to temporarily close Buck Creek Park

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will temporarily close Buck Creek Park on Bull Shoals Lake Sept. 22 through Oct. 8, 2025, for park improvements. Work includes paving, major road improvements and expansion of the boat ramp parking lot.

  • Single lane closure scheduled for Nady County Road across Lock Number Two

    Tichnor, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be closing one lane of the Nady County Road bridge across Lock Number 2 near Tichnor, Arkansas, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sept. 24, 2025, for a routine bridge inspection.

  • USACE to begin roadwork and park enhancements at Bull Shoals Lake

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District will start a major roadwork, paving and park enhancement project Sept. 15, 2025, at Buck Creek Park and Lead Hill Park recreation areas on Bull Shoals Lake.

  • MKARNS Nav Notice 25-67 MPLD Nav Pass Closed

    Due to falling river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is in operation and the navigation pass is closed. All vessels are required to pass through the lock until further notice.

  • USACE reopens swim beach at Panther Bay

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office is reopening the swim beach at Panther Bay on Norfork Lake.
