MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office is reopening the swim beach at Panther Bay on Norfork Lake.
The temporary closure was a result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by field office personnel. Two acceptable water samples are required by the Arkansas Department of Health prior to reopening a swim beach.
For more information on the status of other recreation areas, contact the Mountain Home Project Office at 870-425-2700.
