  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

    Mountain Home, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed at 6:30 a.m. each Monday and remain closed until 5 p.m. each Thursday except federal holidays beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10 until Feb. 20 for equipment installation. Both lanes will be open Friday thru Sunday.

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Russellville Project Office announces that Annual Day Use Passes for 2015 are now available for purchase. They are for sale at: 1598 Lock and Dam Road in Russellville, 6298 Prince Street in Conway, and 6042 Lock and Dam Road in Ozark.
  • FISH COVER PERMITS AVAILABLE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office is offering a limited number of fish cover permits for Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes. A fish cover permit allows an individual to cut up to six cedar trees, six inches or smaller in diameter at the stump, from designated areas of the shoreline and sink them into the lake for fish habitat.
  • CORPS ISSUES SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR LOWER HALF OF ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River from Little Rock, Ark. downstream. Recent heavy rains caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.
  • CORPS ACCEPTS YOUTH MUZZLELOADER DEER HUNT APPLICATIONS

    The Army Corps of Engineers is reminding the public that it’s accepting applications through Oct. 31 for a youth muzzleloader hunt to be held Dec.13 and 14 at Ozark Isle Park on Bull Shoals Lake. Ten permits will be issued to hunter education graduates, 15 years old and under.
  • Army Corps of Engineers Organizing Litter Pickup for Sept. 6 Volunteers Needed to Help Keep Nimrod Lake Beautiful

    Volunteers are needed to participate in the Army Corps of Engineers’ annual fall litter pickup Sept. 6 at Nimrod Lake. Volunteers are asked to meet between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at Carden Point Park pavilion to register for the cleanup and be assigned an area around the lake to pick up litter.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock native Jan Jones has been named the Army Corps of Engineers,
