Navigation Notice

Due to shoaling, mariners are advised to favor the river wall in the downstream approach to Dardanelle Lock (No. 10).  Due to tow haulage being unavailable at this time, the conditions are not favorable for double cut tows cutting the traditional method; therefore, upbound double cut tows are advised to contact Bruce Oakley, Inc. Port of Dardanelle to make arrangements for temporary mooring.  Bruce Oakley, Inc. representatives may be contacted at 479-970-0084 or 479-970-0538.  It is anticipated that this procedure will be required for up to approximately 10 days.

The Army Corps of Engineers vessel M/V Crump and its crane barge will perform clamming in the downstream approach starting as early as Monday, March 27.  A separate navigation notice will be issued when favorable sailing conditions have been established.
