    On March 21, 2012, the Little Rock District Corps of Engineers, as the lead district in the state of Arkansas, issued a public notice announcing reissuance of this regional general permit for recreational facilities in navigable waters within the states of Arkansas and Missouri. This regional general permit may be used in the Little Rock, Vicksburg, and Memphis Districts. The authority for permit issuance is found in Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344). Corps districts are authorized to develop regional general permits in accordance with Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations Parts 325.2(e)(2) and 325.5(c)(1).

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that the City of Bentonville, 305 SW A Street, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the construction of a concrete-lined stream channel and the replacement of four bridges. The concrete-lined channel would be 2,525 feet in length. To construct the concrete-lined channel, approximately 6,000 cubic yards of material would be excavated from the existing stream. Approximately 530 cubic yards of material would be placed in the channel and in an adjacent 0.1-acre wetland. The existing four bridges would be replaced with four 32-foot-wide by 40-inch-tall precast concrete culverts. The proposed project is located in an unnamed tributary to Little Osage Creek, in sections 31 and 32, T. 19 N., R. 30 W., Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas.
