SWL 2011-00428 - 3/20/2012: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that the Grotto Springs Ranch LLC (Grotto) has submitted their completed Rattlesnake Creek Mitigation Bank prospectus. The prospectus outlines the proposal for developing and operating the bank which is known as the banking instrument. After public comments are received and any issues resolved on the prospectus, Grotto will submit a draft banking instrument to the District Engineer of the Little Rock District. The District Engineer will distribute the draft banking instrument to the Interagency Review Team (IRT), which is made up of the Corps and the pertinent state and Federal resource agencies. The IRT will review the banking instrument and coordinate with Grotto on any issues until a final banking instrument is completed. Finally, the District Engineer will review the final instrument and make a decision to approve or not approve.

SWL 1967-00029-21 - 3/19/2012: Pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Bryce Mobley, Mobley Construction Company, Inc., PO Box 620, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110 has requested an extension of an existing sand and gravel dredging permit. The proposed project is located in the Arkansas River, between Navigation Miles (NM) 149.5 and 153.5, 156.7 and 164.2, 165.6 and 176.3, 177.4 and 204.8, and 206.0 and 255.8, in Franklin, Logan, Johnson, Faulkner, Perry, Conway, Yell, and Pope Counties, in Arkansas. The proposed extension would be for five years, to December 31, 2017.

SWL 19380-1 - 3/13/2012: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated, 2001 SE 10th Street, Bentonville, Arkansas 72716 has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the construction of a levee to prevent flooding of the Alma store location. The proposed project is located in the SE 1/4 of section 6, T. 9 N., R. 30 W., Alma, Crawford County, Arkansas.

SWL 2011-00369 - 3/12/2012: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that City of Green Forest, PO Box 1510, Green Forest, Arkansas 72638 has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in approximately 1,680 linear feet of waters of the United States associated with the clearing, aligning and concrete lining of an existing channel. The proposed project is located in an unnamed tributary to Yocum Creek, in section 4, T. 19 N., R. 23 W., Green Forest, Carroll County, Arkansas

SWL 10683 - 3/1/2012: On February 21, 2012, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published the notice in the Federal Register announcing the reissuance of all existing nationwide permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions with some modifications. The Corps also issued two new NWPs, three new general conditions, and three new definitions. The NWPs will be effective on March 19, 2012, and will expire on March 18, 2017.
