The permittee, all activity participants, and all spectators/volunteers/visitors must comply with the following
special activity permit conditions:
1. Application Submissions
A Special Activity Application must be received by the Table Rock Project Oice no less than 30 days before
the event. The application must describe the nature of the event, the starting and closing dates and times,
the desired event location or area, and all other pertinent information. All fishing tournaments and boat
regattas involving more than 75 boats will require a special permit with additional requirements. All other
activities involving more than 50 people will require a special permit with additional requirements. Stricter
limitations on the number of boats and/or participants may apply based on the specific area of the project
lands or waters in which the activity would occur. Vendor sales, including by the permittee, will require a
special permit with additional requirements.
2. Permit Denial
Any request may be denied by the USACE Table Rock Project if it deems the event incompatible with its
purposes and authorities. The USACE Table Rock Project has the authority to deny permits for reasons
including but not limited to:
• Previous failure to abide by permit conditions, misrepresentation of pertinent event information, or
failure to pay debts owed to USACE.
• The application was not received more than 30 days in advance of the event (late submission).
• The activity involves gambling, federally illegal drugs, sexually oriented services, paramilitary
training, hazardous substances, or condones discrimination.
- The applicant refuses to agree to the permit conditions or provides inaccurate information.
- The activity cannot be accommodated in the applicant’s desired area due to logistical, safety,
- Environmental, legal, or operational concerns.
- The activity is perceived as having a purpose of promoting a political candidate’s campaign.
Requests will not be approved in open recreation areas during a holiday time period. Unpermitted
activities are subject to the full penalties associated with violation of Title 36.327.21(a).
3. Rules and Regulations
All the rules and regulations of CFR Title 36 Chapter 3 Section 327 apply in their entirety to the permittee,
their participants, and all spectators/volunteers/visitors unless an exception is specifically approved by the
Table Rock Operations Project Manager. This includes Title 36.327.23(c) regarding payment of day use fees
and proper display of the applicable receipt, permit, or pass.
4. Non-Discrimination
Admission to and participation in any approved special activity will not discriminate on the basis of race,
color, religion, national origin, sex, age or disability in accordance with Title 36.327.1(d). Request for
special activities citing “special circumstances” for participation requiring gender or age discrimination
must be accompanied by an exceedingly persuasive justification. This may be appropriate for activities
such as physically intensive sports. Fishing tournaments do not qualify for discrimination based on gender
or other factors.
Certification
I attest that the applicant and activity information submitted is accurate and the permittee, all activity participants,
and all spectators/volunteers/visitors will abide by the permit conditions listed.
