BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers is opening Dewey Short Visitor Center for an evening of special family-friendly programming at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21.
Explore the visitor center exhibits and grounds after dark. Get up close and personal with a snake. Adventure into the darkness on a spider sniff (or night-time walk). Finish the evening around a campfire complete with activity, singing, and star gazing on the bluff overlooking Table Rock Lake and Dam.
Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear, bring flashlights, and pack a blanket or chairs for the campfire.
The event is free, but registration is required. To register call 501-340-1933 by noon on Oct. 21. In case of rain, the activities may be moved inside.
