MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office announces that the Highway 125 swim beach has been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.
The swim beach was temporarily closed because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
According to Corps officials, the high bacteria levels could be from run-off following recent heavy rains.
