HAVANA, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office announces that Waveland Park has been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.

The swim beach was temporarily closed because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.

According to Corps officials, the high bacteria level could be from run-off following recent heavy rains.
