HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – As winter approaches, the Army Corps of Engineers will continue to provide camping opportunities from Nov. 1 through March 14, 2016 on Greers Ferry Lake.

Winter campsites with electricity and flush toilets will be available at Dam Site, John F. Kennedy, Devils Fork, and Choctaw parks.  These campsites will be available on a first come, first served basis and camping fees will be collected.

Hill Creek, Narrows, and Sugar Loaf parks will offer a limited number of campsites without power for visitors that like a more primitive camping experience.  Vault restrooms will be open at each of these parks.  During the winter camping is free at these parks.

All boat ramps around Greers Ferry Lake are open year round.

For more information, contact the Greers Ferry Project Office at 501-362-2416 or stop by the office located near the dam on Highway 25, three miles north of Heber Springs.  You may also contact the William Carl Garner Visitor Center at 501-362-9067.

Remember to set the example when in or around the water by always wearing your life jacket.
