HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office has reopened Devils Fork swim beach.  The swim beach was temporary closed because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.

The swim beach has been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.

“All swim beaches that the Corps’ manages on Greers Ferry Lake have passed scheduled water testing required by the Arkansas Department of Health and are open to the public, said Joe Harper, chief ranger of the Corps’ Greers Ferry Project Office.  “Bring your lifejacket and come enjoy the lake.”

For more information about recreation areas on Greers Ferry Lake call the Greers Ferry Project Office at 501-362-2416, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
