Mariners are advised that the U.S. Coast Guard is lifting the closure on the Arkansas River between Navigation Miles 118.0 and 116.0. The Coast Guard has received a report on the ruptured natural gas pipeline at NM 117.3. The report indicates that 400 feet of the pipe is located 170 feet off of the left descending bank. As of June 05, 2015 there was 25 to 50 feet of water over the pipe, with a pool elevation of 237.6 feet at David D. Terry Lock and Dam (No. 6). Mariners are advised to transit this area with caution. Mariners are advised to contact Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River for any updates on VHF-FM Channel 16 or by telephone 1-866-777-2784.
