HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry  Project Office has reopened Dam Site, Choctaw and Hill Creek swim beaches.  The swim beaches were temporary closed because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.

The swim beaches have been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use. Devils Fork Swim Beach remains closed.

According to Corps officials, the high bacteria level could be from run-off following recent heavy rains.
