ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers announces that the 2015 recreation season at Beaver Lake is here!  On April 1, the following parks will be open for business on Beaver Lake: Dam Site Lake, Dam Site River, Lost Bridge North, Prairie Creek, Hickory Creek, and Horseshoe Bend.

Many campsites are available on a first come, first served basis.  However, the majority of the campsites may be reserved for future occupancy.  If you would like to make a reservation at one of Beaver Lake’s parks, visit www.recreation.gov or call Reserve America at 1-877-444-6777.  Group shelters are also available for use and may be reserved.

However, all Prairie Creek Park campsites will only be available on a first-come, first-served basis while waterlines are replaced in the park.  Once the waterline project is complete, campsites will once again be available to reserve in advance.

On May 1, Rocky Branch, Indian Creek, Starkey, War Eagle, and Lost Bridge South parks will open.

Recreation use fees for camping will increase for the 2015 season.  Campsites range from $20-$25 per night depending on amenities available.  Group shelters range from $25-$200 per day.  The standard group shelter is $75 per day.

The area day use fee will remain at $4 per vehicle per day.  The Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Pass, which grants access to all Corps-managed day use facilities in the Nation, may be purchased for $30 and is valid for one year.

Remember, America the Beautiful Senior or Access card holders receive a 50 percent discount on camping and day use fees, and the Corps’ Annual Day Use Pass.

The Beaver Project Office staff hopes you have a safe and enjoyable recreation season at Beaver Lake.  Don’t forget to wear your lifejacket when swimming and boating.
