The Army Corps of Engineers advises that the access road from Cooks Landing Park to the North Little Rock Hydroelectric Power Plant and fishing access parking lot will be closed beginning Thursday Sept. 25 for repairs.

All foot and vehicle access to the peninsula, a popular fishing area, will be closed while repairs are being made.  A large pot hole has developed in the roadway.  Workers will excavate the hole to determine its size and fill and repair it. Work is expected to be complete sometime between Friday and Monday depending on the extent of needed work.

The repair will not affect users of the Big Dam Bridge.
