Published Sept. 17, 2013

Russellville, Ark.  – The Russellville Project Office is looking for volunteers to join in and help clean up Lake Dardanelle in support of National Public Lands Day.  Volunteers should check-in by 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at either Bona Dea Trailhead or Lake Dardanelle State Park on the Russellville side.  Once in the parks follow the signs to the check-in location.

Trash bags will be furnished to all participants at each check-in station.  The cleanup will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.  A free lunch will be served at 11 a.m. at Lake Dardanelle State Park to thank all the hard working River Valley volunteers.

If you want to clean a favorite area of Lake Dardanelle call the Corps at 479-968-5008 before Saturday, if possible, and sign up for that lake area.
