Arkansas governor proclaims safe boating week

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District, Vicksburg District and the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 15-08 supported Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe’s proclamation today declaring May 18 through 24 to be Safe Boating Week in Arkansas. This coincides with the National Safe Boating Week Campaign.  

The proclamation states that it is essential for boating enthusiast to recognize the importance of taking certain precautions, including always wearing life jackets and never operating a boat under the influence of alcohol.
