NAV NOTICE SWL 13-14 MKARNS - INTERMITTTENT DELAYS POSSIBLE

Published April 16, 2013

Mariners are advised that intermittent delays may be experienced at Ozark-Jeta Taylor Lock and Dam (NM 256.8) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, from April 19 through April 22. This is due to the replacement of three 161 KV overhead power lines across the river at NM 256.5 by Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC).  Mariners are asked to contact the Ozark Lock Operator via radio on Channel 16 or phone (479) 667-2120 in advance of arrival to be advised of current conditions.

There are no closures scheduled for this work, and the scheduled daily maintenance closures will be temporarily suspended during this time period.  However, unforeseen problems could require additional time.  If work is completed ahead of schedule, normal operations will resume at that time.

Questions or requests for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to James McKinnie in the Little Rock District Office at (501) 324-5739 or (501) 324-5096, or you may email CESWL-OP-OM@usace.army.mil.
