BRANSON, Mo. -- The Corps of Engineers Table Rock Project Office is looking for volunteers to help maintain the unique native plant landscaping at the Dewey Short Visitor Center grounds.

Each volunteer or group of volunteers will be asked to adopt a flowerbed and provide maintenance during the growing season.  Volunteer activity in the flowerbeds will include weeding, mulching, pruning, and replanting, as needed.  All materials will be provided.  Recognition plaques will be placed in the adopted flowerbeds, upon request.

Special training programs about native plants, animals, invasive species and other related topics will be available throughout the summer months exclusively to Adopt-a-Bed volunteers.

An informational meeting will be held for interested volunteers at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at the Dewey Short Visitor Center.  Attendance is encouraged but is not required to participate in the program.
