NAV NOTICE SWL 13-12 MKARNS - INTERMITTENT DELAYS POSSIBLE

Published April 1, 2013

Mariners are advised that intermittent delays may be experienced at Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9, from April 8 through April 11, 2013 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.  These delays are to allow divers to repair and replace grease lines to both the upstream and downstream land wall miter gate pintle balls.  This work is necessary to ensure proper greasing of the pintle balls.

There are no closures scheduled for this work, however, unforeseen problems could require additional time.  If work is completed ahead of schedule, normal operations will resume at that time.

Questions or requests for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to James McKinnie in the Little Rock District Office, at (501) 324-5739 or (501)324-5096, or you may email CESWL-OP-OM@usace.army.mil.
