RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – As a result of budget constraints the Army Corps of Engineers Russellville Project Office will defer all new requests for shoreline use until Oct. 1 allowing the Corps to shift its resources to address park visitor assistance during the summer recreation season.

Shoreline use requests include fire protection (mowing/underbrushing) and footpath permits, private or community boat dock requests, and requests for modification to an existing boat dock.  As in 2012, these requests will be addressed in the order they were received starting Oct. 1.

Permit holders are reminded that the terms and conditions of their permits will still be enforced and all zoning criteria and shoreline management regulations remain in effect.

For more information, please contact Robert Ahlert at 501-340-1740 or the Russellville Project Office at 479-968-5008, ext. 9.
