MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will temporarily close Buck Creek Park on Bull Shoals Lake Sept. 22 through Oct. 8, 2025, for park improvements. Work includes paving, major road improvements and expansion of the boat ramp parking lot.
The closures are necessary to safely complete the scope of work and improve long-term functionality of the parks.
These improvements are part of ongoing planned upgrades including enhancements to boat ramps, additional parking in both normal and high-water areas and improved park entry and exit points.
Additional upgrades are planned for a later date at Tucker Hollow Park and Highway 125 Park, continuing USACE’s commitment to enhancing recreational infrastructure around Bull Shoals Lake.
USACE officials regret the inconvenience but emphasize that the work will enhance safety and improve the visitor experience.
