The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office is closing the swim beach at Waveland Park on Blue Mountain Lake until further notice because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing.

USACE has posted signs indicating high bacteria levels at the swim beach. Park rangers will reopen the swim beach when test results indicate bacteria levels are within an acceptable range.

To check the status of other swim beaches contact the Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office at 479-947-2372 or visit https://www.swl.usace.army.mil/Home/Swim-Beach-Closures/.
