ROGERS, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office is reopening the Horseshoe Bend Day Use area ahead of the holiday weekend.

The park was closed following the destructive storms that occurred May 26, 2024. Excessive amounts of debris, downed trees, and exposed power lines were major factors contributing to the original decision to close the park.

The Horseshoe Bend Day Use area, including the swim beach and boat launch ramp are open. The boat launch ramp in the campground area is open and the campground, including the swim beach, remain closed. There is currently no estimate on when they will reopen.

For more information, please contact the Beaver Lake Project Office at 479-636-1210.
