LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Complete your gift giving by donating your discarded Christmas tree for fish cover at Bull Shoals Lake, Norfork Lake, Beaver Lake and Millwood Tri-Lakes.

To donate, take your old Christmas tree to the following locations:

Bull Shoals Lake: Any public boat ramp

Norfork Lake: Any public boat ramp

Beaver Lake: Highway 12 boat ramp, Monte Ne boat ramp and Don Roufa boat ramp

Millwood Tri-Lakes: Any public boat ramp

Please deposit trees to the side of the ramp, being careful not to block ramp access or parking areas.

All trees must be real, not artificial and free of ornaments and tinsel to prevent harm to fish. Trees will be available for anyone interested in using them to provide shelter for fish and serve as attractors for recreational fishing.

Anyone wanting to use the trees are welcome to pick them up to sink as fish cover, but it must be done with natural rock. Trees must also not be sunk in any areas that could create potential boating hazards. Any unclaimed trees will be sunk by USACE or Arkansas Game and Fish personnel later.

If you have any questions regarding this program, contact the Mountain Home Project Office at 870-425-2700, the Beaver Lake Project Office at 479-636-1210 or the Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office at 870-898-3343.
