Mariners are advised that upbound and downbound tows should run the centerline of the navigation channel in the downstream approach to Norrell Lock (No. 1). This is due to shoaling and the recent White River long range forecast that indicates decreasing Lock 1 tailwater elevations. Beginning at 12 midnight, tows are also advised to draft no more than 7’ when transiting the White River Entrance Channel(WREC). Mariners are also reminded of the special locking instructions noted in Navigation Notice SWL 22-41.
