LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, AGFC and other local agency partners met at Murray and Lock and Dam today for a water and recreation holiday safety media event.
Agencies came together to remind the public to practice recreation and water safety ahead of Labor Day weekend.
USACE, AGFC, Arkansas Waterways Commission, North Little Rock Parks Service, Little Rock Parks and Recreation, Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Congressman Bruce Westerman’s office encourage everyone to wear a life jacket when on or near water, don’t drink alcoholic beverages and operate a boat, never swim alone and stick to designated swim areas.
