At Norrell Lock (No. 1) NM 10.3, mariners are advised to avoid contact with the downstream landside/long wall stoplog slot cut located downstream of the miter gate recess. All up-bound tows must stop along the long wall, downstream of the stoplog cut and transition to the river side/short wall prior to lockage. All vessels are to exercise caution to safely transit by the downstream long wall stoplog slot cut. These locking instructions are to remain in place until further notice.
