PLAINVIEW, Ark.  – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Blue Mountain Project Office will close the Hise Hill boat launch and parking area on Blue Mountain Lake on Dec. 13. The closure will remain in effect until the first week of February, depending upon weather.

The boat ramp will close to allow for construction of a new launch ramp and repairs to the adjacent parking lot. Fishermen and boaters can still use boat ramps at Ashley Creek, Lick Creek, Waveland Park and the Arkansas Game and Fish ramp on the Petit Jean River, at Sugar Groove.

Officials at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask for the public’s cooperation until the work is complete.

For more information, contact the Blue Mountain Project Office at (479) 947-2372.
