PINE BLUFF, Ark. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will reopen Sheppard Island and Rising Star parks this week.

Sheppard Island Park located adjacent to Emmett Sanders Lock and Dam in Pine Bluff will reopen July 21.  The park is a day use area only with a boat ramp. No fees are charged to use the boat ramp or to bank fish at the park.

Rising Star campsites are available for reservations and need to be made online through or by calling 1-877-444-6777. No fees will be collected onsite.
