LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District will conduct maintenance testing on the hydropower units at Bulls Shoals Dam, March 15-19.

The hydropower releases will occur during daylight hours and will not match up with Southwestern Power Administration’s generation schedule.

If inclement weather occurs, the releases will be rescheduled for a later date.

Horns are sounded before water is released from the powerhouses, sluiceway or spillways. When this occurs, changes in water level can happen rapidly. When you hear the horns, leave the areas upstream and downstream of the dam immediately.

Officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office regret any inconvenience this may cause.
