Tow haulage at Arthur V. Ormond Lock (No. 9) NM 176.9 will not be available from 8 a.m. on Nov 2 to 5 p.m. on Nov 4. The cables on the tow haulage unit will be replaced during this time. Double cut tows will have to be locked the conventional way (without the use of tow haulage). If the work is completed ahead of schedule, the lock will reopen at that time. However, unforeseen problems could require additional time. Mariners are asked to contact the lock operators via radio on Channel 16 prior to arrival.
