Mariners are cautioned that a Corps of Engineers survey between NM 221.7 and NM 222.5 has detected significant shoaling, with several areas estimated to have a depth of 4.5 feet to 5.5 feet at a normal pool of 336.0. Surveys have not been completed upstream or downstream of these locations, and it is possible that the shoaling extends beyond them.
Mariners are advised that no other locations on the Arkansas River have been surveyed, as high flows are still moving sediment and preventing safe operation of survey vessels at most locations.
