REVISION TO NAVIGATION NOTICE SWL 19-05
UPCOMING INTERMITTENT DELAYS, DAILY CLOSURE AND WIDTH RESTRICTION
DARDANELLE LOCK AND DAM (NO. 10) NM 205.5
MCCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The upcoming work requiring daytime lock closures and width restriction at Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5, is being deferred until the late spring and summer of 2020.  This work was originally planned to start in mid-June 2019, last approximately 100 days, and limit navigation traffic to nighttime lockages and a 70’ width restriction.  Little Rock District will coordinate with stakeholders and issue a future Navigation Notice once 2020 dates are established.

Concrete saw-cutting on Dardanelle’s lock walls is underway, and should be complete by the end of June 2019.  During this time mariners may experience intermittent delays of up to 12 hours, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Mariners are asked to contact the lock via radio on Channel 16 or by phone (479) 890-4987, in advance of arrival, for current conditions.

Questions or requests for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to the Little Rock District Office, at (501) 324-5739, or you may email CESWL-OP-OM@usace.army.mil.
