CORPS TO INCREASE RELEASES THROUGH SPILLWAY AT NORFORK DAM

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will increase spillway releases from Norfork Dam this morning, to evacuate stored flood water.
The Corps will open eight of the 12 gates one-foot each releasing about 4,200 cubic feet per second as well as 5,800 c.f.s releases from the two power generation turbines for a total combined release of 10,000 c.f.s.
